Skeleton Of Woman Discovered In Sac County

ISLETON (CBS13) ― A man made a gruesome discovery on Saturday afternoon when he found skeletal remains near a Sacramento County levee. The man was reportedly fishing near the levee in Isleton when he stumbled across the remains in dense brush.

Sacramento County detectives began investigating the scene near Highway 160 and have determined that the remains are of an adult woman, and the condition of the bones suggests that they had lain there for at least one year.

Authorities have not determined a cause of death, and have not discovered the victim's identity. Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to call Sheriff's Detectives at (916) 874-5115.
