Yuba Woman Is Sarah Palin's Former Hairdresser
YUBA CITY (CBS13) ―
While a lot of people are talking about Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin's style, a Yuba City woman can talk about it with authority. Not only did she know Sarah, she was her hairdresser.
Inside a Yuba City flower and gift shop a woman works on freshly cut flowers. But it wasn't long ago, she worked on cutting hair.
And for former hair stylist Diane Osborne, one client stands out. A young beauty pageant contestant by the name of Sarah Heath who walked into Diane Osborne's Alaskan salon one day and asked: Can you do my hair?
Osborne has pictures of herself working on Palin's tiara-adorned hair at pageants in Alaska just after Palin's high school graduation. But it has been years since Osborne had seen the future Vice Presidential candidate.
"I saw her acceptance speech and I thought she looked familiar," Osborne told CBS13. "And I thought 'I wonder if that's the same sarah?' And I said 'no' because she was really quiet. But it was"
It was the same Sarah who had asked Diane to be her personal stylist for her run at Miss Alaska..
And as Diane watches her compete in a little bigger contest, she says 'you go girl!'.
"I think she would make a great VP and not only is she a go getter but she's got a kind heart," said Osborne.
