2 County Manhunt For Man Accused Of Fatal Stabbing
SANTA ROSA (AP) ―
A manhunt is on for a suspect who allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death in Santa Rosa, then drove to her mother's home in Ukiah and assaulted her.
Mendocino County sheriff's officials have locked down an elementary school near the mother's home as a precaution, as authorities comb the two-county area in search of 30-year-old Honorio Pantaleon.
Authorities say Pantaleon fatally stabbed his girlfriend in her apartment sometime Sunday evening. He allegedly arrived at her mother's house around 6:30 a.m. Monday and struck the woman in the head with a gun.
The mother was treated at the hospital for a cut to the head.
Authorities say Pantaleon has a shaved head, has several tattoos, stands about 5-foot-4 and weighs 160 pounds. He may be armed with a knife and a gun.
