Local Marine Found Shot To Death In San Clemente

SAN CLEMENTE (CBS/AP) ― Orange County authorities say a Marine has been found shot to death near the Camp Pendleton military base.

The Sheriff's Department says the body of a man in his 20s was found at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday in a semi-rural area of San Clemente, which is just outside the base.  The man is said  to be originally from Sacramento, CA.

The active-duty Marine had been shot in the torso.

His name and other details were not immediately released.
