State Bans Salmon Fishing On Most Inland Rivers
MONTEREY (CBS13) ―
It's official. California's Fish And Game Commission is banning nearly all salmon sport fishing in Central Valley rivers.
The commission voted today in Monterey to ban Salmon fishing on parts of the Sacramento, San Joaquin and American Rivers.
Salmon fishing has already been banned off the coast of California. That ban which goes from the coastline to three miles out went into effect in April.
The coastal fishing ban is already expected to cause a $200 million loss in California as well as 2,000 jobs.
