Fire Breaks Out At Sacramento-Area Middle School
ANTELOPE (CBS13) ―
Firefighters quickly stopped a fire in a portable classroom at a Sacramento-area middle school from spreading to the rest of the campus.
The fire broke out just before 6 a.m. Tuesday in a portable classroom used by a charter school but was actually used for storage by neighboring Center High in Antelope near Watt Ave. and Elverta Rd.
"We were able to confine it to the area of origin. We basically kept it out of the larger part of the school," said Sacramento Metro Fire Battalion Chief Mark Wells.
Investigators are zeroing in on the building's electrical wiring as the cause of the fire. They do not believe the fire is suspicious.
