Body Found In Sacramento River
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
An investigation has been launched at the Sacramento River after witnesses spotted a body floating in the water near Discovery Park, according to authorities.
The body was found by passing boaters near Sand Cove Beach Monday afternoon, and authorities cordoned off the area to investigate the circumstances of the victim's death.
The victim is described as a white male in his 30s. The body appears to have been in the water for several days, according to authorities.
Sacramento County authorities have handed the investigation over to Yolo County officials.
