Three Arrested After Man Found Stuffed In Trunk
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
Three people have been arrested for the homicide of a man
found stuffed in the trunk of a vehicle in November, according to authorities.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department discovered the
dead body of 33-year-old David Joshua Barreda, a Vallejo resident, in the trunk of a white
1996 Ford Taurus parked on 40th
Street. Residents had reported that blood appeared
to be leaking from the trunk.
The county coroner determined that Barreda died from a
gunshot wound and said it was likely that he was killed elsewhere.
Sacramento Sheriff's Homicide detectives have arrested
20-year-old Curtis Chapman, 20-year-old Richard Hundley and 44-year-old Tammy
Turney on Wednesday, reportedly without incident.
The three suspects will be arraigned on Friday in Sacramento County for Barreda's murder. Authorities
have not yet determined a motive for the alleged murder.
Anyone with information on the murder can call Sheriff's
Homicide detectives or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP.
