Gunfire Shreds Family's Sacramento Apartment

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― A Sacramento family is moving out of their apartment after a gunman raked their unit with gunfire late Saturday night.

Tamiera Golden and her five-year-old son had just turned out the lights when gunshots rang out, piercing wall after wall in her apartment on the 7400 block of Holworthy Way. A neighbor spotted an unidentified man pacing back and forth in front of her apartment just before total of six bullets flew through the apartment.

"It makes me feel like there's someone that's out there that's potentially trying to murder me," Tamiera said. "I grabbed my son and I pulled him on the floor and we just laid on the floor.

The suspect fled after the shooting, and police have not yet made any arrests or named any suspects.

Tamiera said that a man she used to have a relationship with became violent and made threats to her in the past, and she suspects he may know something about the shooting.

"We're getting out of here," she said. "I don't know if this guy is still on the loose… I'm scared to even be here right now."

Investigators recovered three bullets from the crime scene, which may help them identify the gun the fired the shots and the shooter.
