Well-Known Local Restaurant Closes After 30+ Years
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
A well-known waterfront restaurant in Sacramento has closed its doors after more than 30 years in business.
The Rusty Duck Restaurant and Saloon on Bercut Drive shut down operations earlier this week. The restaurant's location overlooking the American River had made it a popular spot for decades. It's website called the restaurant "a landmark on the scenic American River" offering a "fresh seafood, steaks and prime rib dishes".
A sign now greets customers saying "We are closed. Thank you for your patronage". The restaurant is owned by Landry's Restaurants, Inc. which owns and operates 28 restaurants including the jungle-themed "Rain Forest Cafe" chain.
