Man Dies After Crashing Into Roseville Building
ROSEVILLE (CBS13) ―
An accident left a man dead after he reportedly drove into a Roseville building on Saturday. Police said that the incident was sparked over an argument over recyclables, and investigators are still trying to piece together witness reports on the strange death.
Witnesses reported that the driver veered across four lanes of traffic on Baseline Road at high speeds, slamming head-on into a self-storage business. The unidentified man behind the wheel was found dead in the wreckage.
"I just don't know what's wrong with people, I really don't," said witness Greg Smith, who saw it all from across the street.
Smith works for Goodwill, near the recycling vendor where the argument started. Apparently, when the recycler wouldn't take his bottles, the driver got angry, hopped into his truck and stomped on the gas.
The Roseville Police are investigating whether the man had a heart attack, but have not confirmed any theories on what led to the crash.
They have not released the identity of the driver pending notification of his family.
