Suspect In Homicide, Double Shooting Arrested

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― The man accused of murdering a 20-year-old Sacramento woman and wounding her mother was arrested in San Francisco during a routine traffic stop.

Ronald Mitchell, 51, has been transferred to the custody of Sacramento law enforcement and booked on charges of homicide and assault with a deadly weapon. Mitchell is suspected of shooting two neighbors Wednesday morning in Oak Park, leading to the younger woman's death.

Mitchell was stopped by an officer with the San Francisco Police Department for a vehicle code violation, who arrested him upon discovering the warrant for the homicide charge. He was taken into custody without incident.
