Early Morning Fire Destroys Placer County Home

ROCKLIN (CBS13) ― An early morning fire has destroyed a home in the Placer County town of Rocklin.

The fire broke out at a home on Avila Court just north of Highway 65 near Stanford Ranch Road.

When firefighters arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames.  The two car garage of the home collapsed.  For a time there were concerns of a possible explosion because crews had trouble shutting of the gas.

There are no reports of injuries.  The owners were apparently not home at the time of the fire.
