Victims Of Deadly Land Park Crash Remembered
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
Exactly one year ago today, three adults and one toddler died when their car was hit by an alleged drunk driver in Land Park.
Brizhelle Rice, 19, Brittanya Nash, 17, Shanice Carter, 21, and 18-month old Kamall Osby were killed in the crash on South Land Park Drive.
Robert Vellanoweth, a former appointee of Governor Schwarzenegger, was allegedly driving drunk when he crashed into the victim's car.
Police say his blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit.
Vellanoweth has been charged with four counts of gross vehicular manslaughter. But, he posted bond last November and has been free since then.
His next court appearance is April 24th. A trial date will be set at that time.
