Redding Residents Warned About Counterfeit Money
REDDING (AP) ―
Authorities are warning businesses in the Northern California town of Redding to check their customers cash.
That's because there has been an increase in the number of counterfeit bills reported in the area in the past few weeks.
Redding police say the counterfeit bills are mostly $20 bills and are difficult to detect.
Counterfeiters are scanning a $20 image on washed but real $5 and $10 bills.
