Thief Stabs Loss Prevention Officer With Scissors
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
A man runs out of a local supermarket after allegedly using items he stole to stab the people trying to catch him.
The attack happened earlier this month, when two loss prevention officers, who work for Raley's on Mack Road, apparently saw the suspect on a surveillance camera stealing what seemed to be razors. They saw him walk towards the register, and try to leave without paying for the item, and that's when police say he stabbed one of officers in the chest with a four inch pair of scissors.
"The issue of him being stabbed and being penetrated with all the dirt and debris that was on those scissors, he's very lucky," says one officer.
The victim was lucky to not be fatally wounded, but the suspect did not have the same luck.
The same cameras that allegedly caught him stealing caught his mug shot as he ran out the supermarket exit.
