Heat Related Injuries Prompt Water Park Closure
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
Raging Waters in Sacramento closed early due to many employees suffering heat-related injuries.
Crews
from the Sacramento Fire Department have been called to the water park
near Cal Expo, reportedly treating at least nine employees who
experienced heat-related injuries. Raging Waters closed an hour early in response.
Authorities say none of the injuries are serious.
Temperatures
in Sacramento broke 100 degrees during the day, and smoke from nearby
fires created unhealthy and hazardous air conditions.
