Power Restored To 14,000 After Car Crash

ELK GROVE (CBS13) ― A car accident cut off power to thousands of people in the Elk Grove area Saturday night, but work crews had power restored within a couple hours.

A car smashed into a power pole on Bruceville Road and Seasons Drive, cutting off power to the Laguna area of Elk Grove and leaving nearly 14,000 residents without power.

By 8:30 p.m., SMUD crews restored power to 6,000 customers, and power was restored to all other residents by 9:30 p.m.
