Tracy Postal Carrier Accused Of Hit And Run
TRACY (CBS13) ―
A postal worker in Tracy is still on the job, even after being accused of causing a crash and taking off.
The CHP says Jay Negus went in the other driver's lane to avoid a head on collision. They say that driver swerved, hit a parked car and then slammed into a tree. The driver was hurt and the postal worker allegedly sped off.
"The suspect in this case did see the accident, failed to stop at the scene and continued on with his employment," said CHP Officer Richard Rickman.
A postal spokesman says Negus is still working because the crash is under investigation but wouldn't comment any further.
