A pit bull boxer is locked up at the Stockton Animal Shelter this morning after attacking two animal control officers.
The officers responding to a call that the dog bit an 11-year-old girl in Stockton.
One of the officers says the dog became aggressive and jumped out a busted window, attacking him and his partner.
"When the guy went to open up his door to let us in, the dog really started to go nuts," Animal Control Officer Brian Wadler told CBS13, "He was behind the door telling the dog to sit down, shut up, all kinds of stuff like that. And somewhere in the midst of that, the dog left. It flew out the window."
The dogs owner came to its defense saying she just had a litter of puppies making her more protective than usual. Animal control officers say this dog has been in trouble before. A few years ago it bit a sheriff's deputy. The dog's owner may face charges.
