Thief Gets Away With Casino's Cash

CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) ― Police are searching for a criminal who allegedly robbed a Citrus Heights casino at gunpoint.

Surveillance images show the bold robber telling everyone in the Pheonix Casino on Auburn Boulevard to get on the ground. The suspect ordered a cashier to fill up his bag with cash, and then escaped.

"Pretty brazen, obviously, to go into a casino which will typically have security guards around," said Lt. Daman Christensen of Citrus Heights Police.

The suspect is described as either an Asian or African-American male adult, about 5'7" tall. If you have information on the suspect, call Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP.
