Olivehurst Mobile Home Residents May Be Forced Out
OLIVEHURST (CBS13) ―
People living in an Olivehurst mobile home park are being kicked out at the end of the month and they have no where to go.
"This is my home," says Michelle.
For the past four years, Michelle Oliver called Vinboy Trailer Park in Olvehurst home.
"I don't want to leave here I can't afford to," she explains.
But soon, Oliver and more than 70 people living in the 17 trailers in the mobile home park could be forced out.
"The owners have disappeared out of this whole trailer park," says a resident.
"Now we are facing having our water and our sewage shut off."
Former property manager Cheryl Zillig says the owner, Quynh Hoang, who CBS13 contacted and could not get a hold of, skipped out after the state revoked his license to run the mobile park.
"People not keeping this that and the other and I think it just became too overwhelming," says Cheryl.
Now two options for the Vinboy residents-
"One person becomes responsible for the master account or each individual becomes responsible for his or her account. But, not everyone can afford that," explains Cheryl.
Oliver says that leaves little choice for people here.
"It will be unhealthy to live here without water or sewage. They will make us leave," Oliver explains.
