Small Quake Hits Northern California
BODIE, Calif. (AP) ―
There have been no reports of injuries or damage after a small earthquake struck near the Northern California town of Bodie, which is close to the Nevada border.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the preliminary 3.0-magnitude quake struck at 8:53 p.m. Tuesday.
It was centered 11 miles southeast of Bodie, 20 miles northeast of Lee Vining and 146 miles east of Sacramento.
A Mono County Sheriff's Department dispatcher located a few miles from Bodie said she did not feel the earthquake in her office and had not received any reports of injuries or damage.
