Sarah Palin is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at a Northern California logging conference early next year.
Sierra-Cascade Logging Conference executive director Nadine Bailey said Palin will kick off the weeklong timber industry gathering Feb. 8 in Redding.
Bailey said the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee has not settled on a theme for the speech but would be stopping in Redding in part to promote her book.
The book, "Going Rogue," will be released Tuesday.
Tickets for Palin's appearance go on sale Monday for $54 and up. Bailey has declined to say how much Palin will be paid for the speech.
