Weekend Winds Uproot Dozens Of Tumbleweeds
NATOMAS (CBS13) ―
Weekend winds turned a Natomas neighborhood into the Wild West with tumbleweeds rolling over streets and into yards.
More than 40 tumbleweeds toppled into one home. And it's not the only one with the dead weed dilemma.
Saturday's high winds sent tons of tumbleweeds into backyards all over Natomas.
"We kept coming out here. There was 8, 15, 25. There's so many now we can't even count," said homeowner Shannon Moore.
Some of the tumbleweeds measured in at 5'. They were so big, they wouldn't even fit in the trash.
Residents are hoping the city picks up the mess.
