Police On The Lookout For Two Missing Convicts
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
Two sex offenders on the run in the Sacramento area. One cut off his ankle bracelet and now police have no way of knowing where he is.
Both of the missing convicts are transients, known to frequent downtown near Loaves and Fishes. But now, they are on the run.
Timothy Conn and Danny Regalado may not look alike, but when it comes to their criminal records they may as well be twins.
One local woman says she's seen both frequenting the park near Loaves and Fishes. Today, it was closed of renovation and there was no sign of either man.
Regalado has a laundry list of violent crimes. Conn, is quite the con man and has been arrested for everything, from robbery and burglary to indecent exposure.
But it is Regalado who authorities were tracking with an ankle bracelet. That was until 48 hours ago.
"As soon as we stopped receiving the signal we were alerted that he had cut off the device and at that point we went and got a warrant for his arrest, which is active," say authorities.
The people who work at Loaves and Fishes, recognize Regalado, but can't place Conn. Either way, they say they need to know this kind of information.
"If they're sex offenders we got children next door so we need those, this way we can let the staff know too," says a spokesperson from Loaves and Fishes.
Now that they know, police want you to know too, if you happen to spot one of them.
