Sacramento Mayor-Elect Meets With Counterparts
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
Sacramento Mayor-Elect Kevin Johnson hasn't even bee sworn in yet, but he is meeting with other elected officials from around the region.
Today at a Mayoral Breakfast at Il Fornaio restaurant in Sacramento, Johnson was joined by other mayors from the area.
Rancho Cordova Mayor Linda Budge, West Sacramento Mayor Christopher Cabaldon, Elk Grove Mayor Gary Davis, Roseville Mayor Gina Garbolino, Marysville Mayor Bill Harris, Live Oak Mayor Diane Hodges, Loomis Mayor Russ Kelley, Winters Mayor Michael Martin, Yuba city Mayor-Elect Leslie McBride, Citrus Heights Mayor Steve Miller, Auburn Mayor Keith Nesbitt, Lincoln Mayor-Elect Spencer Short, and Rocklin Mayor Brett Storey were all scheduled to attend.
Johnson says today's gathering is a first step to get each city's top leaders working together.
Johnson said he plans to call on the other mayors for advice on issues like balancing the city's budget.
Johnson will be sworn in on December 2nd.
