Woman Trying To Save Pets Narrowly Escapes Fire

MANTECA (CBS13) ― Manteca fire fighters rescued a woman from her burning home this morning after she went back inside in an attempt to save her pets but became trapped.

Huge plumes of smoke filled the air around the home on South Modoc Court as fire fighters arrived.

The fire started in the home's garage and at one point was threatening nearby homes.

It's unclear if the woman was able to save her pets before being rescued herself.

It's unknown what started the blaze.
