ELK GROVE (CBS13) ― Elk Grove made history when their little league team won the Cal Ripken World Series recently. The kids are pumped up, and are already thinking about repeating.

The Laguna Bombers are celebrating, not with champagne, but with pizza and soda.

The 5th and 6th graders from Elk Grove have reason to celebrate. They've just won the coveted 2007 Cal Ripken 10-year-old World Series.

They made it happen in Indiana as they gave their Alabama opponent a major league shellacking 13-2.

Coach Scott Abraham put this team together just a couple of months ago. This is the first time a little league from Elk Grove has ever won the Cal Ripken World Series.
