Woman Finds Offensive Slur On Jamba Juice Receipt

 More Local News

RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) ― A Rancho Cordova Jamba Juice employee has been fired after writing in an offensive slur on a customer receipt.

Charlene Pabro says when she ordered a drink, she wasn't asked for her name, which is the procedure at most Jamba Juice shops.

Instead, Pabro, who is openly gay, says the word 'DYKE' was typed on the receipt instead of her name.

"It was one of those things that you just sit and you're like wow, the world can be that ignorant sometimes," Pabro told CBS13. "It's really tough to go and thing that if I go in this establishment I wonder what name they are going to call me today."

Jamba Juice's CEO told CBS13 he plans to personally call Pabro to apologize.
