Car Slams Into Carmichael Bakery, Customers Hurt

CARMICHAEL (CBS13) ― An out of control car has crashed into a well-known Carmichael bakery injuring at least two customers.

Officers say a car driven by a 72-year-old woman slammed through the front of the La Bou bakery on 7250 Fair Oaks Boulevard a little before noon.  She apparently became confused between the gas and the brake.

Two customers who were inside the La Bou at the time of the accident were hurt in the accident and have been take to the hospital as a precaution.

Fire crews say the car hit an empty table.  The two people who were hurt were hit by flying debris.
