UC Davis Teams Up With iTunes For A New Classroom
DAVIS (CBS13) ―
Not all U.C. Davis courses are being offered in iTunes. But there's a lot of campus content outside the classroom that you can now enjoy on your iPod.
Now, UC Davis students can view their courses on their iTunes site, or upload them onto their iPod and listen whenever.
They range from sporting event highlights, to lectures, to special class speakers, and in some cases, entire quarters worth of classes. And Davis is one of only about 50 universities doing this.
Suzanne Rockwell who helped put the sire together for the university says the idea is to reach the students with the social media that's most popular.
"So, we're hoping students stumble across our site when they go to iTunes U., and they go 'oh, that's kind of interesting that they do that," explains Suzanne, "Now we just need to find somebody with an iPod."
Good luck finding anybody who doesn't have an iPod on campus.
But it's not just for students.
"It's for anybody in the world," concludes Suzanne.
