Sacramento Sheriff's deputies spent more than an hour searching for a suspect who led them on a short chase before crashing on a Highway 99 offramp in south Sacramento.

Dozens of officers including K9 officers and Rancho Cordova police officers are searched in and around the bushes along Highway 99 at 41st Street for the suspect. Officers say the chase began when the suspect refused to pullover.

The suspect crashed a green Honda as he attempted to enter the highway at 41st Street. Officers say the car has not been reported stolen and they do not believe the suspect is armed.
