High School Students Seriously Injured In Crash

ELK GROVE (CBS13) ― Four high school students are among those seriously injured in a four-car crash that took place Wednesday afternoon in South Sacramento.

The California Highway Patrol said that a white Honda with four girls from Sheldon high school jumped a center divider on Calvine Road in Elk Grove, slamming into oncoming traffic. It took firefighters nearly a half-hour to cut out one victim using the Jaws of Life.

Investigators are looking into the possibility that the girls were cut off by another driver, who may have left the scene.
