17 Pounds Of Heroin Found In Car's Bumper

REDDING (CBS13) ― A minor traffic violation led to the largest heroin bust ever in the Redding area. More than 17 pounds of the illicit drug were stuffed in a bumper.

The driver of the red Volkswagen was pulled over for tailgating on Interstate 5, when a police K-9 dog began sniffing out the drugs. The driver fled, but police are confident they can find him: He had handed over his identification already.

The drugs pulled out of the bumper are worth about $2.8 million.
