Thieves Get Their Hands On Hands-Free Devices

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― Hands-free wireless headsets are flying off store shelves now that California's hands-free cell phone law is in effect.  The problem is the devices are being stolen by thieves.

Stores all over California have seen more and more Bluetooths and other wireless hands-free devices disappear right off the shelves.

A Radio Shack in Sacramento County has had ten stolen while two stores in San Jose had windows smashed overnight.

The owner of one store says the hot commodity was apparently the target.

Some investigators say the wireless devices are so hot right now, they are recommending businesses lock these up even during business hours.
