Three Arrested For Halloween Home Invasion

More Local News
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― Three of the four suspects accused of ransacking a Sacramento family's home on Halloween have been arrested, according to authorities, and the other suspect is still on the run.

Investigators said the four men allegedly kicked in the front door of the North Highlands home Halloween night and attacked the mother and son that were inside.

The mask-wearing gunmen demanded cash and tore apart the house in search of valuables, according to the victims, who did not wish to be identified.

"They searched me and my son say, 'Don't hurt my mom,'" the mother said.

Her son was punched and stabbed with a butcher knife, she said.

The father was in the backyard when the suspects broke in and ran for help when he heard the commotion. The suspects fled when deputies arrived, but allegedly tried to rob another home just a few blocks away.

Neighbors say one of the suspects was caught in the attic of the second home and two others were nabbed a short time later.

One unidentified suspect is still on the run.

Christopher Bonner, 21; Melvin Ross, 28; and Peter Trudeau, 24; are all under arrest and accused of the crime.

The son who was injured was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening wounds.
