Haitian Infant Heads Home After Brain Surgery

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― A small baby finally gets to go home today after coming to Sacramento all the way from Haiti for major surgery.

Jean Demosthene went through four hours of brain surgery to fix a hole in his skull.  The hole had allowed part of his brain to push down his nose.

The surgery was made possible because of a non-profit group that provides free medical care to kids from third-world countries.

'Jean Alex' will remain with a host family for about six months to make sure no complications come up.
