Grant High Selected For State Bowl Game

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― For the first time, a Sacramento-area high school football team has been selected to play in a state bowl game.

Grant High School will face Long Beach Poly for the Open Division Championship on Saturday, December 20, according to sources.

Grant had defeated Burbank for the sectional title 55-6 in early December, making a strong case for selection in the state bowl game.

"If we're not selected as one of the teams to go, it's a crime," said head coach Mike Alberthini after their December 5th victory.
