'Grandma Bandit' Arrested In Rocklin
ROCKLIN (CBS13) ―
Acting on an anonymous tip, FBI agents and Sacramento County Sheriff's detectives arrested the suspect known as the "Grandma Bandit" today at her home.
Valerie Harris, 50, of Rocklin confessed to committing armed robbery at a US Bank located inside Roseville Safeway last Wednesday, say deputies. Authorities say she handed the teller a note demanding money and showed the teller a gun she had in her purse. She left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Harris' confession came after she was questioned following her arrest.
She will be booked with the U.S. Marshall's Office and will appear in federal court today at 2 p.m.
