Golf Balls Littering Manteca Graveyard
MANTECA (CBS13) ―
Visitors at a local cemetery are furious after discovering dozens of golf balls littered at grave sites.
Volunteers at the East Union Cemetery in Manteca have discovered the unwanted leftovers from somebody's game, and say the little objects can cause quite a bit of damage. Chips and cracks can be expensive to repair.
"Well, I wonder how they'd feel if someone did their loved ones like that," said Lil Putman, whose husband is buried at the cemetery. "It's a bunch of kids, and you know it."
The historic cemetery is the oldest in San Joaquin County and only two volunteers care for the grounds, so there have been no witnesses.
