Galt's school superintendent has stepped down.

In a statement issued today, Tom Gemma said it was a good time for him to move on the other endeavors.

This announcement comes less than a month after the school board decided to demote the Galt High School principal and give him a teaching position, sparking outrage among teachers and students.
