"Furlough Fridays" will soon be a thing of the past.

Tomorrow will be the last Furlough Friday, according to Lynelle Jolley, Calif. Dept. of Personnel Administration spokesperson.

Jolley says that although the state is ending its practice of furloughing employees on Friday, the state-mandated two day per month furlough will remain in effect.

Individual departments will be able to choose on which days the furloughs will fall.
