Fire Damages Sacramento Elementary School

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― An early morning fire erupted at an elementary school in Sacramento County damaging at least one room.

Fire fighters responded to Cottage Elementary school after smoke and flames set off alarms inside the school.

The fire crews were able to quickly douse the flames and stop them from spreading.  Sacramento Metro Fire fighters say the fire started in an office at the school.  They have ruled out arson and say it may have been an electrical fire of some kind.

Approximately 400 students attend the school which is in session this week.
