Car Full Of Teens Crashes In Manteca, 1 Dead
MANTECA (CBS13) ―
An 18-year-old woman died and five other people were seriously hurt after an early morning accident in rural San Joaquin County this morning.
The accident happened early this morning before 3:30am on South Airport Way at Mortensen Road several miles south of Highway 120.
The 18-year-old woman was driving the care with five other male passengers when for some reason she lost control and went off the roadway. The car rolled several times before landing upright in a field off the road.
The other passengers, two 19-year-old men, a 20-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy all suffered minor injuries. Neither the driver nor any of the passengers was wearing a seatbelt.
While the exact cause of the accident is still being investigated, the CHP says it believes that alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash.
