More than 5,000 people are planning to have a "nurse-in" to protest Facebook's policies.

A local mother is part of an online fight against Facebook after the popular social networking site deleted pictures of her breastfeeding her baby.
Heather Farley says the pictures of her breastfeeding her eight-month old daughter are not obscene.
"It's not nudity, it's not wrong," she said. "I wouldn't have put up a picture I thought was bad."
She tried posting the pictures to her online profile at Facebook, only to have them removed -- twice.
"It's a beautiful thing," Heather said. "It's kind of upsetting that Facebook has a different view about breastfeeding."
Facebook agrees that it's natural, and said, "We take no action on the vast majority of breastfeeding photos. Photos containing a fully exposed breast do violate our terms and may be removed."
More than 61,000 people have voiced their support for allowing breastfeeding pictures online, and thousands of other mothers across the nation are angry. They want to stage a "nurse-in" outside Facebook headquarters in Palo Alto and a virtual nurse-in online.
"About 5,000 people have agreed already to participate," Heather said. "They are going to take down their normal picture and put up a picture of either themselves breastfeeding or a breastfeeding mother in general."
They hope that Facebook reevaluates its policy to exclude breastfeeding as nudity. The nurse-in will be held this Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Facebook says it will not take any proactive measures to prevent users from posting pictures, but if people mark the photos as offensive they may be removed.
