El Dorado Double Mystery Boggles Police, Family
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ―
"None of it makes sense," says Jen Jaczola.
A double mystery for investigators and a double tragedy for family, like the couple's daughter Jen.
"It's scary. It's very scary," says Jen.
Ron Presba disappeared exactly one month ago.
Firefighters rushed out to highway 193 north of Placerville to put out a brush fire and found Ron's charred car at the bottom of a canyon.
The family says investigators found evidence of a cleaned up crime scene back at the couple's house near Georgetown, the same place Pattie Presba disappeared today.
"I first called her at 5:30 this morning and she didn't answer," explained Jen.
Pattie spent the past month mourning her husband, still not certain he was in the car.
Early in the morning a neighbor stopped by to check on Pattie, seeing what looked like blood on the porch and a front door busted in.
"Right now we have a house with blood- or what appears to be blood in it- and no one around," says Sgt. Bryan Golmitz.
Detectives gathered evidence inside and out, looking for clues as the family waits for answers.
"It's like a nightmare that plays over and over again. You try to play scenarios in your head, but no one's capable of figuring it out," Jen says.
They're standing by helpless and desperate with two parents missing in a mystery that's only getting deeper.
"Please call and let us know if you know anything about our dad or our mom- anything at all," Jen says sadly.
