4.6 Quake Shakes California-Mexico Border Region
CALEXICO (AP) ―
An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.6 has shaken a stretch of the border region of southeastern California and northern Baja California.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake occurred at 2:54 p.m. PDT and was centered 26 miles southeast of the U.S. border city of Calexico, or about 105 miles east of Tijuana, Mexico.
Calexico police Sgt. German Duran says he felt the ground rumble, but authorities did not receive any calls or reports of damage.
