3 Drug Trafficking Organizations Busted In NorCal

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― Attorney McGregor W. Scott announced Thursday that a federal grand jury returned multiple-count indictments charging 28 people, including 22 from the Sacramento area with various felony narcotics charges and dismantling three drug trafficking operations from top to bottom in Northern California.

The felony charges ranged from conspiracy to distribute over 500 grams of methamphetamines, conspiracy to distribute MDMA, conspiracy to distribute 100 kilograms of marijuana, and manufacture over 1000 marijuana plants.

The case is the product of an extensive investigation by the Sacramento High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force.

"This sting of indictments strike a serious blow to major methamphetamine trafficking in the Sacramento region and beyond," stated U.S. Attorney Scott.
