Police: Sac. Woman's Drowning A "Tragic Accident"

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― A woman in her late 20's was found drowned in a Sacramento pool on Saturday, authorities said.

The Sacramento Police Department says that authorities were called to Bicentennial Circle Saturday morning, after one of the woman's friends found her unresponsive in the pool. The friend pulled her out and began CPR, but medics were unable to revive her when they arrived.

Police are investigating the incident, but released a statement saying the death appears to be a "tragic accident." The woman was reportedly swimming with friends earlier in the morning, and decided to remain in the pool after the friends left.

Police say alcohol may have been a factor in the woman's death.
